Esty’s Year in RegScale

October 31, 2023 | By Esty Peskowitz

Wrapping up my first year at RegScale:
Times flies when you move an industry forward!

It’s been a little over a year since I embarked on my journey with RegScale, and I can confidently say that this experience has been nothing short of exhilarating. The first few months were like drinking out of a firehose, but the enthusiasm and the impact were immediate. Looking back, I want to take this opportunity to reflect on our incredible achievements over the past year and shed light on what makes RegScale a standout player in the industry.

One of the aspects that struck me the most about RegScale is our mission to propel an entire industry forward. We collaborate with CISOs and cybersecurity professionals who grapple with an overwhelming deluge of paperwork and regulations and help streamline the process in which they manage controls, from a point in time to continuous. In today’s world, organizations cannot simply opt out of compliance. Yet, the conventional methods used to address these challenges feel like a relic from my military days – when archaic Excel spreadsheets and Word docs were THE method of running a process, chaotic and messy as it was while consuming an exorbitant amount of time.

So, what have I learned during my first year at RegScale, and what valuable lessons have emerged from this exciting journey so far?

  1. Exceptional Talent Acquisition

RegScale excels at recruiting the best and the brightest (Javier, you’re killing it!). With teams in Knoxville, TN, Tysons Corner, VA and remote across the country, RegScalers collaborate closely like they are all sitting in one big room.

  2. Streamlining Controls Monitoring

Using RegScale, our prospects and customers have experienced significant reductions in audit prep time and moved from a point in time to continuous. This makes their lives easier and reduces risks as a beneficial byproduct. In other words, the product works!

  3. The Power of Teamwork

Marketing is a collaborative effort, and I’m immensely grateful for the dedication and hard work of my team: Ivy and Dave. Their efforts have been instrumental to our success.

  4. The Synergy of Sales and Marketing

The link between sales and marketing has never been more crucial. The two functions must work hand in hand to achieve our goals effectively.

  5. Embracing Experimentation

Startups thrive by being in a constant state of learning and experimentation. We’ve discovered that testing everything, from subject lines to budgets, platforms, programs, and more, is key to our success. Your CFO will certainly appreciate the appetite and results.

RegScale is approaching its second anniversary, and I couldn’t be more excited to be part of this incredible journey. We are making significant strides in revolutionizing an industry burdened by archaic practices. The people, culture, pace, and impact we make in the industry are what make RegScale an exceptional place to work. We’re not just changing our company; we’re changing an entire industry for the better, and I can’t wait to see what the next year holds for us. Here’s to RegScale’s upcoming second anniversary and the many more successes to come!
